OFFICIAL WARNING FROM THE FOUNDATION DEPARTMENT OF MISCOMMUNICATIONS

Upon further review, several (presumed) minor errors have been discovered and corrected via strikethroughs of false information and an overlay with blue text correlating to accurate data. Further investigation is ongoing and any errors are to be reported to to the head of DoMC Leroy Beatties Dr. Landon Young immediately.

Special Containment Procedures

SCP-XXXX following initial manufacture in 1975. The photographer is believed to be Leroy Beatties.

MTF Δ-13 "Road Runners" has been commissioned to track the movements of SCP-XXXX and investigate reports of symptoms similarly corresponding to that of past instances of affected individuals. Personnel consisting of MTF Δ-13 are to relay the current route and variations to this to field personnel in order for the proper evacuation of nearby civilians under the pretense of a prison escapee reported in the area. Per orders of The Ethics Committee instated January 21, 1977, all confirmed infectees of SCP-XXXX are to be terminated as no mode of halting a completion of SCP-XXXX-1's cycle. Due to the poorly understood nature of GoI-1976 "Broadeners of The Mind" and the faction's goals, long term engagement with known members is to be discouraged and detainment is considered a viable option for further research into the group. Web crawler AI-384512 ("Athena") has been dispatched in order to discover the origins of GoI-1976 and the strong possibility the group itself being a splinter group of an organization referring to itself as our friends "The Syncope Symphony." This theory has been proven likely and research into the relationships between members of both groups is to be considered a minor priority.

As direct containment of SCP-XXXX is impossible, Project-Lexicon has been established consisting of distributing funds among production and enhancement of educational facilities in underprivileged areas which is to be carried out via multiple Foundation front companies to prevent suspicion among civilians.

As of to date, several field personnel have been assigned to pursue information pertaining to the whereabouts of Leroy Beatties and possibly locate Leroy Beatties Dr. Carson Welsh as he is a priority member of SCP-XXXX's containment plan and research.

Description

SCP-XXXX is a non-functional Ford B-Series1 school bus circa 1975. The outer chassis of the SCP-XXXX bears damage similar to that of fire damage and corrosion. The most notable exterior marking includes the phrasing "Kirk Lonwood Senior High School" faintly visible on the left face of the bus' exterior. bolted over the phase is a swatch of purple felt stating "Adam you will know things and become like God.2" SCP-XXXX is autonomous and will continuously traverse local road-ways though the object has shown higher tendencies to locate itself in low income areas with low educational opportunities. As of to date no solid matter has been successful in halting SCP-XXXX's movement (See Testing Log for more detail.) Project-Lexicon has proven successful in sharply increasing the amount of education received throughout the United States.

Visible from the windows is everyone are 26 individuals of varying physical afflictions. These injuries range from minor such as cuts and bruises to severe mutilation of the eyes and mouth. The identities of the entities are unknown but they have shown a striking resemblance to several current former students of the Kirk Lonwood High School who were not accounted for during the accession of an unrelated anomaly. A dossier has been compiled on the presumed identity of my one of the students. It is to be noted that further investigation into the identities of the remaining 25 individuals is ongoing but has been stagnate due to the unrecognizable nature of many of the students both from anti-memetic interference and mutilation of facial features. Currently one individual has been identified and has shown the most activity. A full profile has been conducted from various sources on possibility of anomalous qualities being present in SCP-XXXX-A prior to incorporation into SCP-XXXX.

SCP-XXXX constantly emits a previously unknown high frequency wave from an indeterminate point in the object. This wave length has shown numerous mutagenic properties akin to that of acute radiation poisoning. Despite this similarity, no direct afflictions to portions excluding the central nervous system3 have been noticed and a majority of mutations occur in the upper lobes of the brain. Once a human has been exposed to the wave, all individuals who have not received a full education which is everyone according to standard United States public schooling of Kindergarten to 12th grade will develop of massive growth like protrusion on their Frontal Lobe designated SCP-XXXX-1. How this wave of energy is capable of only effecting certain individuals of particular backgrounds is unknown, but may be related to the developmental changes seen in the brains of those exposed to a school-like environment for an extended period of time.

This protrusion will grow considerably of a course of several days. Nerve receptors will develop within SCP-XXXX-1 which in turn connects to other receptors and nerve components throughout the Frontal Lobe and memory banks. This will often cause a frightening increase in mental efficiency and memory for approximately 25 hours. Past the previously stated estimate, a series of pataphysical changes will begin to occur in close proximity to locations commonly visited by the affected subject. Changes most commonly include modifying the content of various forms of media including Books, films, images and even distortion of memory in those with close relations to the Subject. A complete list of changes has been made available for context on the extent of the anomalous changes.
