Procedure Result Conclusion and Additional Notes
Researcher Samson attempts to fish in SCP-XXX. Although several large fish are seen, none are caught. Those that appear to be attracted to Researcher Samson's lure are distracted by bigger, more appealing prey. SCP-XXX's probabilistic anomaly appears to favor animals submerged in it, with a preference for larger organisms.
Researcher Samson attempts to fish while wading in SCP-XXX. Within five minutes, Researcher Samson is able to catch a 25-centimeter 1.8-kilogram smallmouth bass. Upon catching it and recording its size, he releases it. Full submersion in SCP-XXX is unnecessary to enjoy the outcomes of its anomaly.
Researcher Samson attempts to spearfish by hand while wading in SCP-XXX. Within two minutes, Researcher Samson is able to spear a 30-centimeter 2-kilogram smallmouth bass — despite no prior spearfishing experience. The spear is found to have pierced the fish's brain, killing it nearly instantly. Full submersion in SCP-XXX is unnecessary to fully enjoy the outcomes of its anomaly.
Researcher Samson scratches off a pre-bought lottery ticket while wading in SCP-XXX. The ticket is [not a winner.] As the lottery ticket was bought outside SCP-XXX's area of influence, it was unaffected by the river's anomalous effect.
Researcher Samson orders a lottery ticket over the internet while wading in SCP-XXX. The lottery ticket is found to be worth 200 million dollars. While Samson remains in SCP-XXX, the experiment's supervisor (Site Director Maurice Simmons) elects to allow him to keep the money; once Samson is on the riverbank, that decision is overridden by the attending Ethics Committee liaison. In specific circumstances, SCP-XXX's anomaly may affect objects outside its immediate area.
Researcher Samson drinks a cup of water collected from SCP-XXX. Researcher Samson contracts dysentery. Water from SCP-XXX is non-anomalous when separated from SCP-XXX. Researcher Samson made a full recovery after one week.
