Artists rendition of SCP-XXXX, as drawn by Gabriel Guillain. Memetic trigger has been removed.

Special Containment Procedures: The area surrounding Site-189 is to be monitored by Type-M security drones. Should any civilian aircraft come within 1 km of Site-189, onsite agents are to contact the pilot of the civilian aircraft, ordering them to change course under the guise of an incoming storm. In the event that cooperation does not occur, use of Class-I amnestics is authorized. In the event unauthorized personnel manage to enter Site-189 without permission from the current site director, lethal force is authorized to prevent the activation of SCP-XXXX-1. Appropriate cover stories are to be created for any civilians terminated following entrance into Site-189, and media coverage is to be kept minimal. All satellite/meteorological images of Site-189 are to be doctored.

SCP-XXXX is to be secured to the floor using high-strength polyester and nylon ropes, and weighted using five 40kg ballasts evenly spaced around the basket. Ropes are to be covered in a Class A fire resistant sheath, with additional reflective covering the outermost section. Both are to be checked daily for damage, and replacement is to be carried out a minimum of at least once a month. Testing of SCP-XXXX requires approval of the current Site Director. Any and all contact with SCP-XXXX should be performed by personnel with training in memetic resistance, and visual contact is to be limited to the basket/motor housing of SCP-XXXX. Any personnel seen attempting to enter the basket of SCP-XXXX are to be incapacitated/terminated.

Should a Blanchard event occur, all on-site personnel are to immediately evacuate, and MTF Epsilon-9 ("Fire Eaters") are to be deployed to spray Compound-DJIX onto SCP-XXXX-1, and ensure SCP-XXXX-1 has been reverted to an 'idle' state. Compound-DJIX utilization is to be recorded after each successful containment and submitted to Site Director, and disinformation measures are to be deployed as required (See Addendum-XXXX-X for a full list of Blanchard events).

Should containment of the Blanchard event fail, the Greenville protocol is to be enacted.

Description: SCP-XXXX is an aircraft resembling a hot air balloon which locomotes via two large sails. Additionally, SCP-XXXX is equipped with several devices that function similarly to rocket thrusters. In ideal conditions, SCP-XXXX is capable of moving at a maximum of 200 kmph when unaided by said thrusters, and theoretically can move at 5000 kmph when thrusters are activated. As of writing, the fastest speed achieved by SCP-XXXX has been recorded as approximately 1750 kmph.

SCP-XXXX's basket is far larger than what the exterior size would feasibly allow. SCP-XXXX's interior is approximately 5002 meters in size, with SCP-XXXX-1's "containment area" being located in the direct center. SCP-XXXX-1 is surrounded by devices which serve to eliminate any biological life that approach SCP-XXXX-1. However, 90% of this machinery is currently nonfunctional, allowing trivial access to SCP-XXXX-1.

SCP-XXXX-1 is theorized to be a humanoid corpse, wrapped in several layers of linen cloth. SCP-XXXX-1 is active and will attempt to escape. SCP-XXXX-1's influence increases for each human within a certain distance from it. Further information regarding SCP-XXXX-1 constitutes a memetic trigger and thus will not be listed here.

SCP-XXXX's exterior is significantly less equipped than its interior, but still contains sixteen long nozzles which are capable of expulsion of a substance which is a combination of napalm, [REDACTED] and trace amounts of Compound-DJIX. Compound-DJIX is noted to be SCP-XXXX's fuel source, which would imply that SCP-XXXX's fuel tank has been slightly punctured and is leaking.

These nozzles are theorized to be used as a defense system to protect SCP-XXXX as a whole. These nozzles only activate in two occasions:

  • A fast moving projectile is launched towards SCP-XXXX, in which it will be instantly incinerated.
  • SCP-XXXX is forcefully brought below ████ meters above sea level, in which SCP-XXXX will aim the nozzles towards the ground and consistently fire until it either returns to its original altitude or [REDACTED].

BLANCHARD EVENT

A Blanchard Event is an umbrella term for any escape attempts conducted by SCP-XXXX-1. In 95% of Blanchard Events, SCP-XXXX-1 exits its main containment area and is impeded by the remaining functioning defense systems. It takes 50-90 minutes for SCP-XXXX-1 to fully exit SCP-XXXX if left completely unimpeded in this stage. However, Compound-DJIX has been noted to be extremely acidic to SCP-XXXX-1, which has been incredibly effective in deterring SCP-XXXX-1 during Blanchard Events.

Compound-DJIX is created through [SEE ADDENDUM].

SITE-189

As SCP-XXXX cannot travel below ████ meters above sea level, Site-189 has been constructed to sufficiently contain SCP-XXXX. Site-189's appearance is that of a standard Foundation site with the exception of four large rotors, powered by a Heurlium-Cooled generator, which elevates the Site at █████ meters above sea level. Access into Site-189 by Foundation personnel is achieved via cargo planes. At any given time, Site-189 is occupied by eight to ten Foundation personnel, four of those members belonging to MTF Epsilon-9.
